As title really, diagnosed arthritis in right hock 4 weeks ago. Given cortisone injections, then 5 days off followed by 10 days of walk followed by 10 days building up the trot.
The farrier came a week after the injections and said she's bringing it through more (he always walks and trots them up before and after shoeing). Within 4 days of walk I could feel her hind leg coming through under my right bum cheek - best way to describe it ! And my right stirrup feels like it's 2 holes longer, not sure why ? Maybe someone can explain ?
The trot work has progressed from Post on here10 strides to about a minute at a time including hills and although a few blips, day 3,4 & 7 when she had like a Stringhalt episode which went after 8 - 10 strides of walk (vet said possible) she's felt fantastic.
We bumped into Copperpot today *waves hello* so that was nice to meet a fellow HHO on her lovely ginge
(with matching bridle and
breastplate
)
Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed please that the vet is a happy bunny
