Suggestions please: out for 14 months (broken splint bone and other issues), 8yo dressage mare. Now 100% sound and ready to start again, what would be the best plan gien the fact that she has been living out for past 10 months?

When my mare was brought back into work after her tendon injury I had to work her gradually over 6 weeks. First week 20 minutes was walking only every day! Then the next week was walking for 30-40 minutes. Week 3 walking for an hour. Week 4 walking hour and half. Week 5 short trots. Week 6 slightly longer trots and little canter. We got there was good for both of us to get back into it gradually.
Have u had your saddle checked? My horse changed shape completely and I needed a new saddle after get time off.

6 to 8 weeks pavement pounding, walk initially introduce trot at 3 to 4 weeks working up to 1.5 hrs per day, then gradually introduce school work, lunging, etc (whilst maintaining the roadwork) after 4 months from start date you should be doing roadwork, lunging, schooling in 3 paces. and should be free to go do whatever.

I walked mine with an old tendon injury for 6 weeks, 30 mins up to 90, and have been trotting for four weeks gradually. She's very up for the trotting! We can't really canter but I'd have started some this week if we could, along with schooling if we could do that. Probably a bit extreme for a normal horse, but mine is easily damaged! I might halve those timescales for something sound.
