Hi everyone !
My name is Emily and I'm currently in my final year at university. I need to collect as much data as possible for my dissertation and would really appreciate it if you could take the time to complete this short questionnaire if you have any form of experience handling, backing or breaking young horses.

My dissertation will look at how beneficial turning horses away or stabling is when it comes to ease of backing and breaking. Some choose to turn away until the horse is ready to back and some buy the horse straight from a breeder and stable etc as you would a mature horse.
I am aware some may have experience with 100's of horses so if that is the case choose a horse that may have been particularly easy or hard.
There may be no correlation at all but this is an area of the industry that I have a lot of interest in.
All questions are optional, please answer whatever is relevant to the horse. If you answer 'other' please fill in what you did instead.
