Hmm I have a show tomorrow which I've had no time to prepare for since I've been ill and not riding for over a week. Rode today to prepare for hunter horse/pony, riding club horse and riding horse classes in a low ported pelham (as I didnt want to put him in a double bridle). Although it gaves us a fabulous outline he kept backing off the bit despite me loosing the curb chain and being very soft handed. He got better the more we did but now I'm really worried about tomorrow esp riding club horse as we have to jump a small fence so I really don't want him backing off too much. Should I ride in the pelham tomoz or shall I just pop him back in his loose ring snaffe?

Eeeee I'm so nervous - still got my saddle to clean. Hmm why is it we still get nervous no matter how many shows we've been to?!

Well seeing a you are not going to use the double bridle anyway i think you should just ride in the snaffle. If its a local show it will be fine.
I know what you mean about being nervous - i too have a show tomorrow and have been running around like a mad thing trying to clean stuff and horse and trying not to panick.

All the shows I've seen say snaffle only for riding club, so you might want to check the rules and make sure your pelham would be allowed, just incase.

Relax, it'll all go fine!
