bacterial ulcer experiences please. (also in vet)

Does anyone have any experience of bacterial ulcers that they could please share with me? I'd be very interested to hear about how the initial diagnosis came about, treatment plans and what the outcome was. My horse is about to go down this route and I'd like to be a little prepared to ask the vet lots of questions (I bet they love me )

These are the ones you get around the exit of the stomach.
I have had two horses with these the first one got gastroguard and was rescoped they where still there. Then had more gastroguard and antibiotics ,that did the trick.
Some time later got another horse come on the yard clearly had ulcers he had only the exit from the stomach type ( other horse had splash ones as well ) i was given gastroguard and as I was more savvy by then just asked for the antibotics straight away which he was given ten days into treatment he was used at a used company demo where they hoped to use him to show healing ulcers they where completely cleared ( saved me a good bit as the vet doing the demo stopped his gastroguard from then.)
These are ulcers most associated with stress and temperament issues.
