Bad day yesterday!

First thing, adjusting my horses rugs and he turned round and nipped me, i was not impressed thought he had stopped that 5 years ago!.
Went to work and just picking out one of the foals back feet when she aimed and fired, gave me a good bruise!!!
Went home for dinner and thought id give my horse half an hour in the school, within 2 minutes he had whipped round and i was sat on my backside wondering what had happened!!!! Can you shoot pheasants on health and safety grounds?

None of it hurt too much at the time but feel like ive done 10 rounds with mike tyson today!

Things like that always seem to happen on one day! We run a shoot here and they are know locally as pheasant accelerators as ours just seem to shoot forward rather than whip round! Bloomin things!

We have one at our yard and it caught me out the other day when i went by the school doors!! you think it has gone them BAM it appears again, we are going to shoot it!!!

Don't need to shoot on H&S grounds....just shoot for your tea (slow cook in red wine..yum)!!!!

Generally I don't wish death on any creature, I try (don't succeed but try) to be all Budhist in my thinking. But I have heard myself say, on more than one occasion, I'll be glad when they shoot the bloody things'! Its not so much the lurking and horse scaring, its the stupidity that gets me. You know, all that running up and down looking back at your horse going 'a horse, a horse ...' Then waiting until the horse is on top of it before it thinks to fly up

Nothing that I have met is as stupid as a pheasant!

I don't understand why they have to wait until they are level with the horse's shoulder before flying out under it's nose. Sienna and I make enough noise to rouse the dead.... We hardly suprise them. I think it's deliberate.
Deer do it too!!
