Hi
Always like to keep my posts balanced so here is my bad day
Saf went in field first thing and got wet, fab as I had planned to clip, so place her on the yard by the power point and the horse next to her starts to lick her, he is very hansom and she fell for his charms and next my mare who never shows when she is in season starts curling her body in, half way around me and the clippers and when I start clipping by her tail nearly squirts me
Have to move the other horse but by now the damage is done, she is in the strongest season I have ever seen her and twitching every time I touch her
Oh well not my best ever clip and I also got my head bashed and have a egg on my forehead.
Hurried to finish and off we went to the show, our first jumping since the last event of the season.
Warmed up ok for the 1m went in and her canter changed to a babyish 4 time and I went to pot, had a stop at no 3 all my fault and cleared the rest so finished on 4.
Went into the 1.05 and I stupidly came into the first fence on her bad right rein, it was no 3 which we had stopped at in the first class and we crashed through it
and cantered on to the next, gave her a little tap to get her concentration and then we peed off for the next couple I lost the plot and lost my way
so ended up retiring, shame on me.
Huge learning curve for me to keep calm if something goes wrong and learn the bloody course, one big kick needed up my a**.
At this point dressage is seeming so appealing
