Ok... So My pony had the farrier today, he was just getting his feet trimmed as he doesn't get shoes(He has very good feet and is semi-retired). So firstly we had to lead about three miles to the farm where the blacksmith was going for some other horses. Was all fine until it started snowing! And froze us to death. [there was snow settled but not on the roads

] So anyway we finally got to the farm, caught the other two and led them all to the cow barn where they were to get shod. Farrier comes on time and does the shoes ect. He does my little pony in the middle and afterwards I notice him lifting each foot in turn and holding it up for a while!? I wonder if he had maybe trimmed to much off? So as we lead him down the path to the big horses field he looks a bit lame. I check his feet and there are some stones caught, get them out but he is still lame on the way home. Now I wonder what is making him lame? As he didnt have stones in his feet in the barn [sand based] but was lifting his feet up and looking a bit odd. But then he had the stones in his feet which could have bruised? He isnt very lame, just a bit 'shifty' if that makes sense. Also he was determained to walk on the grass all the way home instead of the road. What do you reckon??
