just spent the day waiting for that bloody farrier, who didn't show up! The one who didn't turn up to shoe my horse last time and so he lost a shoe and got a bruised sole. Horse had a new set, pulled one off after 5 days! Wait a week for farrier to come and fix and he doesn't show... GRRRRRR. He says my horse "stands on himself". Turned out in overreach boots all round too. Can't see many nail holes in foot thats lost shoe either.... hmmmmm.

so i spent the week making some home-made showjumps from wood. Well chuffed with them. painting poles all stripy, came home full of spit and venom about farrier and what did I do? Drop a whole pole on my fingerend. It's gone purple. I'v had it on ice for 3 hours but it's not stopped hurting.

Doh!!!!!!!!!

Sorry here is some wine for you all!!!!!!!!!

raaar... grrr....

Sounds rubbish.

I know how it feels with he farrier thing, mine put a front set on, next day one was off, two days after that so was the other one.
He then went on holiday for two weeks.
But there was light as from that experience, horse is now barefoot and has feet like rock :)

There may be a chance you have a slight fracture in your finger... but even if you did, if it's the tip then there really is no point seeking medical help, they'll only strap it up and send you away. Apparently, on average, a person breaks the distal finger seven times in their life without knowing :)

You made jumps, that sounds like a positive thing, just imagine jumping them :D
