Excuse me having a moan on here but am truly fed up tonight!
Checked my mare and section A yesterday to find that the mare had somehow got through electric tape and got herself tangled in a strand of barbed wire on the fence to the other field (I'd fenced it off with electric tape as a precaution - obviously didn't work). The main cut on her leg was not too bad but the wire had obviously whiplashed back on her rump and there are loads of small cuts which you can feel under the hair but her skin is very hot. I've bathed them and dressed them and she's going to be fine but just can't believe what a mess she's in. I HATE BARBED WIRE.
Then - my lovely new boy who I've only had a month has started exhibiting really odd breathing - only when he's exerted himself but it's sounding to me like there's either an infection or something way more serious going on there. The vet is coming out tomorrow to give him a once over - am dreading his verdict as I've fallen head over heels in love with him and he's just fab.
And to top it all the section A who I've been advertising for weeks now hasn't had a single telephone call.
Seriously thinking about giving it all up and sticking to chickens... : (
Moan over - sorry everyone!
