Basically I was in my local tack shop and saw an Advert.
Background: I used to go to a Stables, I learnt to ride there, was put on mad ponies, had so much fun, learned so much and had the time of my life.
I went there for 4 years, my big sister worked there for 6.
At the end we were leaving to get our own pony (Trixie) and sincerely thanked my RI (though she is not qualified) for all she had done and all she had taught us. My sister continued to work there.
But after we had left it wasn't the same and we believe she thought we were being sarcastic/patronising in our thanks. Which we weren't! Since then, my sister stopped working for her as she became nasty and difficult.
Anyway, that was a good 10 years ago now. Since then we have no spoken to her. She closed for a few years and has recently opened back up.
She is now looking for a Saturday help for the childrens pony club that she has started running.
It sounds like something i'd love to do, even though the money's crap it would be great fun I think and would be lovely to be involved with the place again as I still love it.
What do you think? Should I phone her, have a chat and tell her I was interested in the job she has? Should I chance it?
Or do you think she'd just tell me to b*gger off?
