Bad Luck

Just when I thought my bad luck had ran out and today I get within about 2 miles of the 2 phase competition which I thought we could get around and the lorry's tyre burst and we were stranded on the side of the road for well over an hour and a half. Never made it to the competition but my girl was amazing, she stood so quietly in the lorry even when he was doing the work. Just disappointed we didn't make it there.

What a shame!!! It's such a bugger when it happens - you're so powerless to do anything. And on a hot day like this too - poor horsey! I remember one time we were coming back from the PC Area competition at Cheltenham racecourse - there's a road out of Cheltenham that skirts right along the side of the hill, with a steep drop down from the road....well our old Bedford's tyre decided to let go right on a bend! I have no idea how Mum managed to hold the wheel and stop us going over the side - it was seriously scary There was no way we could safely unload either, so the poor horses had to stay on board....it was like a sauna!
