Bad news for Alfie (pics)

Not sure if any of you remember the crazy bay cob we sold 2 years ago?

Here is a pic of my last time riding him before he was sold

He was sold in March 2 years ago to a lady who said she would have him for life, he has been passed from pillar to post all his life and was not the easiest of horses to ride and care for.

I think we had him the longest, just over a year, and the home he's in now has had him just over 2yrs which is the longest he's stayed in one place which is quite sad.

Whats even sadder is we had a call from her the other day saying her circumstances have changed and she has to sell him

I feel bad for him because they were a good team and she loves him and half of me wants him back but half doesn't because in reality i don't have the time for him!

He needs one person to be devoted to him to get any results, when i had him before i had Blue and Holly (at the time) so found it hard juggling 3!

Sorry, no real point to this post but just feel a bit

Poor lad. Some horses are just destined to be wanderers aren't they?

It's so sad.

Its very sad for him

he wasn't an easy horse which i think is why he kept getting passed around, but he was a fantastic SJer

He looks like a bigger version of our Newfie gelding.

What a poor chap moving home all the time, he has a slightly 'lost' look in the second picture.

I wish I had the room / time / experience, as he looks just the sort I like.

We always said we would have loved to have had him as a youngster (he was 12/13yo when we had him) as he was one of those horses with a MASSIVE presence!

I think currently he is hogged so he looks a bit different now!

We had a really sweet cob who we only had for 3 months because he scared us in the saddle. I sold him to a teenager who wasn't phased by the fact that both of us were to frightened to ride him in front of her, we told her he scared us. Anyway she's only had him since last spring and he's up for sale again. I think he will go from one home to another, its a shame when that happens. I hope Alfie finds a good home soon.

Pity he is not a tad bigger! My friend loves those types of horses-ones that no one else wants! Unfortunatley she currently has 2 that are doing next to nothing as they are too small for her 13.2 and 14.3 and only has one 16.3 'night' mare that she can ride. She was looking for a 'horse with presence'.

Aw that is a shame, he is 14.3hh and very short coupled, i am 5ft9/10 and looked ok on him though!
