Went to a biggish local show today, to do some jumping and showing. Pulled out of the jumping because the ground was so slippery and no studs, and hung around for hours (and hours, and hours...) for the showing. Eventually went in (showing virgins!) and got pulled in 8 out of 9. Didn't like that bit...but when I asked the judge for feedback, she said "he's lovely but you need to get him going a bit more". I think she thought I was simple when I was so pleased...but I haven't been to a show since having to leave one 5 years ago (yes that's how long it took to get over it) because people were really staring...I have spent YEARS trying to calm this horse down at anything even remotely resembling a party (and sometimes a hack with more than one other horse would do it!) and today I'm OVER THE MOON to be told he was too relaxed!

Lol sorry, silly happy post. Just so, so pleased with him. He was so calm and chilled and huge fun to ride and just be around. At last I have the horse I always wanted to make out of him, and it feels flipping awesome. Well done us

Well done, just goes to show, that you can be happy with your own success, without having the rossette to prove it, WELL DONE

Thank you guys!! It's nice to share, I am soooo chuffed. I rang my instructor when I got back and when I told her the judge's comment she laughed her head off!

I rode him all round the showground, schooled him and the most he did was neigh

and I'm most chuffed with him cantering round so sensibly with the others in the show ring. A year or so ago we would have turned it into a derby lol!

Chuffed chuffed chuffed
