bad pony?

was discreetly earwagging in on a conversation today. Silly woman was going on about her kids "once a good pony" turning into "a bad un" (naps, is lazy and doesn't listen) and how she's gonna trade it in for a new "good un".

A bad pony can be made good just as much as a good pony can become bad in the wrong hands.

That makes me soo cross, have they asked themselves why he has ended up behaving like this?

As you say they should look a little closer to home

isn't anything wrong (physically/medically) just lazy inconsistent owner thus lazy inconsistent pony. has not much respect for owner.

And they are bow reaping the rewards for their inconsistency , and by selling, letting some one else do the hard work to get pony right again.
