The strange green stuff? Apparently it's called 'grass' (pronounced 'grahss' in some parts of the country)...
We're actually quite lucky, at 15hh Genie is the biggest on the yard and we have 5 acres for 5 of them, one of which is laminitic so restricted all year round for his own good, we currently have about 3/4 acre ungrazed! However it's very heavy clay soil and the gateways are horrifically muddy - since moving to the yard I've bought shares in pig oil and sulphur.
To be fair to the pony it is the first rug she has properly killed in 6 1/2 years of owning me. Just a shame it had to be her mega expensive heavyweight turnout! It's a good thing she was so brilliant last week....
I wish... there she's sporting just the neck cover! The rest of the rug was found in a deceased pile elsewhere in the field, and is most definitely deceased.
