Bad reaction to silver feet?

Has anyone had any bad allergy reactions to silver feet? Just bought some and put some on our horse's hooves. But after 30 mins of school work started to refuse to work and sweated a lot - this is very unlike him.
* is now back to his normal self

Unsure if reaction to new hoof balm or reaction to flys

Note- back, vacc, teeth and hooves up to date. In regular work and out 24/7. No known allergies.
Normally forward and well behaved.
Only change is from effol hoof to silver feet.

If its extremely unlikely that this could have been because of anything that you painted onto the outside of the hooves.

Sounds like he might have tyed up?

Very, very unlikely to be the Silverfeet. Don't think anything would get absorbed into the body from the outside of the feet to cause a systemic reaction!

Update: vet said it could have been a number of things. Horse is back to normal self
Have re-tried the silver feet and no bad reaction
