I advertised my horsebox and have had 3 enquiries, first two said it was too long which is fair enough (its only 23ft) and the 3rd seemed really interested, sent him more pics but they never rang back. Im presuming they didnt like it but the extra pics werent much different than what I posted on the ad. It isnt a cheap wagon but its in A1 barely used condition. I have seen similar cheaper but mine IMO is much better built inside. Ive advertised in on Horsemart, Equineworld and H&H website. Im wondering if Ive overpriced it, it cost me much more as a new conversion last year. Maybe the fact that its a conversion is putting people off, it was done by a professional company though.
Are dearer wagons selling?

It weighs in 5.3t unladen, so I put 3 horse legally, it was converted by David Murray Horseboxes, its a 51 plate, cctv, battery isolator, day living, 12 mths plate, 5 mths tax and as new BUT it does look boring on the outside. I was going to have decals put on it but never got round to it and once I decided to sell as I just arent using it thought it best to leave it as 'a blank canvas' in case my taste wasnt someone elses. A friend got offered what Im asking earlier this year for there own conversion on an older chassis.

Ive not had any luck selling mine either. People seem to ring, say they will call back and I never hear from them again.

Its on a Iveco 75E17, thinks thats the tector???.
The paintwork is immaculate, its just.... well.... grey. Do you mean just get the squirls etc done as a respray would cost a fortune.

Yep just a few swirls or squiggley lines could make a huge differance get a few quotes in - for ideas look at the horseboxes on here and horsemart. Your selling point would be
"in my opinion most horse shows are down little country lanes, and when you have an all singing all dancing paint job they look so tacky with the sides scratched" that is why i went for a plain background.

The chassis is relativley new and Iveco's are not a bad motor.

good luck

Thanks, it doesnt show up any scratches, thats one thing for the colour. I did get a quote and it was only £230 for squirly decals, just thought I may put people off if they didnt like what I picked.

Louby - think i have just seen your ad on H&H - for me the photo makes the box look drab - and unfortunatley its the paint job and living that usually sells the box.

If i was a potential buyer i would be put off by having to "tart" up the box - its a little like buying a house and knowing you need to rip out the basic kitchen to put another one in.

Apart from that the box looks good, but with only 7'6" head room it could be a little off putting to people like me with really big horses.

Eeeeek, thanks for having a look. Its a really funny colour as in different light, it looks different each time. That picture was the only one that didnt show reflections from trees etc as I took them all on a really sunny day, wasnt happy with any of the outside ones so took one on a dull day and that was it.
So its got to have a better piccy and/or decals to brighten it up.
Thanks again.

They are selling and apparently it's starting to pick up at the moment.

I've just sold mine, although ine wasn't overly expensive- advertised in the H and H and had calls, but sold it online from Horsemart- had so so many timewasters though that can't have anything better to do than to ask for photo's of your horse box!!, lost count of the amount of people that I emailed that didn't even say thank you!, so it's not just you, theres just a lot of rude people out there!

Good luck!
