Argh, ever had a week where you just wanted to curl up and hibernate?
So, on Sunday, after seeing to T'Khasi, my husband took me out for my birthday. I had this sudden awful sense of dread, could not shake it. Came home, my father phoned to say happy birthday - oh, and he was in hospital all day due to his heart. Didn't call until he got home as wanted me to have a good day, and both my sisters were there anyway. Big shock, but he has ongoing heart issues and has now agreed to move closer to family - lives in the middle of nowhere, alone
Monday, my husband got the results of his MRI. His spine is no longer being compressed, but he still has two herniated discs. Went up and checked on T'Khasi, guess who picks his feet up perfectly and is fine with being mucked out around at only a year? Monday night, came home from visiting brother in law with husband. And my sister in law, who was living with us temporarily whilst house hunting, completely lost the plot, and physically assaulted me. She has mental health issues, but I wasn't about to have her stay any longer after that. Told her she would have to go back to her parents instead the next morning, she refused, so I phoned police as she was getting angry again. Funnily enough she got hold of herself enough to organise transport to her parents then and there. Police have told me I could take out a non molestation order, and if she does turn up here again this will be what I do. Thankfully she is keeping her head down - has been bad mouthing me to family, but those that were with me that evening have confirmed that she is talking c***!
Tuesday morning, gave police my statement, feel better for it, tbh. Then later went up to check on T'Khasi and got happy pony snuggles
After that, went to my riding lesson - operating on four hours sleep - and had a wonderful hack out. Okay, on the lead rope but that was due to the fact I was sleep deprived and frazzled! Did some walk and trot in the school when we got back - no lead rope, lol - and ended up with a big grin. Although my steering was rubbish, again due to exhaustion, so rather dodgy circles! Had a great chat with instructor whilst hacking about the whole mess and that helped too. Can't tell my side of family in case it gets back to my father - see above.
Tuesday night, brother in law went for a big group walk with husband and me and all the dogs. Eldest dog thought it was her birthday, and had loads of fun. As did we all. Husband then decided to trust youngest dog off lead. Youngest dog is blind and brain damaged, btw. Dog took fright and ran off, husband ran after him, so of course dog kept going...
Called husband in, he and brother in law took the others home to get a torch. I went on and found youngest dog. On my own. In the dark. Up the mountain. Found him in lockdown in the middle of the path about half a mile away. Realised I had no lead with me - husband still had it - improvised and used bra to walk dog back. Husband and brother in law met me about five minutes from home, husband still panicking, brother in law impressed at how the other dogs had escorted husband home on my word...he has invited me to go clay pigeon shooting. My aim is very bad, pray for all involved!
Wednesday morning - today - had tooth extracted, no sedation, thank you epilepsy, grr! Then up to see T'Khasi, who called to me for the first time
I wuvs him! Sadly I probably won't get to see him tomorrow as off to visit father, but the YO is his previous owner and she will check him. She also wuvs him. It is impossible not to wuv T'Khasi. As he is awesome
