Hi All

Does anyone feed these to there horses as hay replacer?

I was thinking of halfing there hay and adding these to there toys balls, but how many do I put in?

Thanks :)

I got into these when my mare was rested for 6 months in a tiny paddock (box rest would have caused more harm than good), for a tendon injury. I put loads in her treat ball (as 2 larger holes, looks like elongatedball, think may be called a rock and roll ball. It kept her occupied for hours, fed (very little grass out there & with the ball only lightly touched her hay net) & generally happy. I used to leave a pot of nuts & a friend who went down at lunch replenished it for me. She still loves to play with the ball even years on.

Mine love these so much was call it horse "crack".

I put about half scoop in the nut ball every night. I also use it as treats at a show, when clipping etc.

These are our five horses staple diet...and wait for it....we use a tonne a month!! They abslutely LOVE them and they keep them amused in and out for ages. Our horses range from a Grand Prix dressage horse to 18 month old warmbloods. I don't know what we would do if they ever went out of manufacture....big sobs all round. I did try to get them delivered direct as we use so many, but they wouldn't play ball......

I use these all the time as they are fine for good doers and horses prone to laminitis, I use mine in a treat ball as they keep my horses amused for longer.
