how cool - i've just booked my tix for XC day too - I haven't been since I was about 14 / 15 and Ginny Leng was the one to watch!! How old am I (sigh)!!!!

Tangleman is entered for Kentucky. They've probably just forgotton to do the OR bit - if you look at Mary King's entries - she's got 3 as well.
And they can't ride more than 2 anyway can they?

Louise withdrew?! Oh no, will ask her next time I see her. She might have felt that Watership Down wasnt up to it yet, hes only 10 this year I think and has not had that many runs but im sure they'll be back next year! Perhaps Burghley in September?

Thats what I was thinking - that makes sense, but they were numbered seperately when I looked.

I think they do number them separately because they print the programme first so they can withdraw one right at the last minute and the programme still has the right relevant details and number.

I just had another thought- is it because they are double entered with two different horses? (here's where it gets really confusing)
So horse A can be double entered with horse B AND horse C. If rider chooses to take horse A, she can either sacrifice B or C, giving her more options. Therefore the numbers cant be a direct swap as horse A would have to share a number with B or C.....
You may go sit down and think about that one, I'm off to find the wine....
