Priority booking opened for this today.
Have booked the caravan site and I am really surprised how quickly it is filling up.
I guess people want something to look forward to!!
Mind you it's over £400 for caravan and 2 tickets for the show jumping grandstand so I was surprised given money is tight it was so booked up already.
For anyone going see you there!!!!!

Badminton was my birthday present for my 21st last year but we couldn't go - so we're doing it this year! I'm so excited!! We've been to Burghley XC day once and that was amazing so can't wait to experience XC and showjumping day at Badminton :)

I think it’s always booked quickly, def a pilgrimage for some and arguably still a cheap holiday for the amount of entertainment:)

Yes agreed the entertainment particularly in the evening is excellent and the caravan site operates from Wednesday to Monday morning.
I don't remember it booking up as quickly but I may be wrong .When I went on at 9.30 it was more booked up than I expected considering it had only been open a couple of hours.
Compared to Burghley horse trials which last year was about £580 for the same deal it's not bad value.
Looking forward to it!

A lot more people have priority booking now - well pretty much everyone who has ever been as it’s all about who has booked in advance. Certainly brings in a lot of money to the event which is a good thing. I have booked sjing tickets today to get decent seats.

I was on at 9am and am delighted to have booked a camping ticket in what I think is a good spot! We went last in 2019 (it was my first time going) and I absolutely can't wait to go again!! Echo setterlover about the evening entertainment being good, I think the whole thing works out very good value when it's split up between a few friends sharing camping

Lots of people (who have priority booking) are very attached to their caravan pitches and a group of them will all log on until the first one gets through to bag the pitches. They get VERY miffed if anyone else gets "their" pitch 😂

I'm not going this year and am quite glad to have missed the priority bunfight where the website usually crashes multiple times. Enjoy!

I had priority booking and I haven’t been for years . Very surprised to see some fields booked up when I went on last night .
If you haven’t got priority booking and you want to camp your be in trouble unless you have a tent.
Show jumping too the tickets were almost sold.

Thanks for the reminder, we always go XC day (for my sins!) thankfully no stampede for those tickets now!

Went for the first time last year, and am going to stay for the Sunday this year too. I'm just looking at the grandstand seats - does anyone know why the west stand seating is more expensive than the east? And is it worth paying extra for covered seating?

My husband seems to think the west stand is more sheltered from prevailing weather.
We go for uncovered seat in the West stand but right at the back right next to the under cover seating as at the very front the view isn't great as you have the arena barriers in front of you .
We always have a hat and thin scarf and a waterproof jacket just in case
We find the uncovered seat better value you need to be right into the covered area as if breezy there is little shelter on the first few rows.
We have never got soaked

I would personally pay for covered, it often does rain in May...thinking back to the deluge 2 years ago! I guess if you sit right at the top in the uncovered bit you might be ok?

West stand probably more expensive due to location by the shops? And by members enclosures etc?

actually that makes sense re weather!

Thanks setterlover & Bobthecob15. Managed to book two seats in the uncovered section at the very back in the west stand. Fingers crossed it's weather like last year!

I did West Stand and now doing east stand. I cannot see a huge amount of difference but have decided £10 difference in price does make a difference. I get undercover after 2023.
