Hi,
I have no answer based in fact, but perhaps the clash with Ian Oldings memorial service may have something to do with it?
Just a suggestion!!

Know one of the Irish contingents had his horse go lame so missed his prep, hence his W/D

We had about nine entered originally, but all dropped out except for Elizabeth Power and Sam Watson (both of whom are based in England at the moment).

Don't know much about why the others have pulled out, but Michael Ryan's Old Road is entered for Kilmanahan in the OI on Sunday, so he isn't injured anyway.

Haven't been eventing this weekend to find out the gossip.

Anyone else know??

Clare Abbott pulled out because horse had non-serious injury but meant that she missed Belton, so would have had no prep run.

I presume that most of the irish entries would have re-reouted to tattersalls, makes more sense

I knew he was out, but even with a tendon its still possible to be back competing. I have a VERY reliable source

I think the Irish are all jostling for team places and it didnt cost anything to enter Badminton so when the criteria for Team selection was changed a few of them changed their plans , hence the reroute to Tatts

I had that thought last night billyslad (as all of them seem to be running in either the world cup qual at Chatsworth or at Tatts), so nice to have it confirmed.
