I spent far too much shopping at Badminton
blush.gif
I bought my young stallion who is off to start his stressage training later this week, a new bridle (very nice IMO, I wanted the one with the gold piping but my mum insisted on the silver piping

I think gold would have been better but anything for a quiet life...also cost twice as much as any of my show jumping bridles - why can't stressage horses wear burgundy mexican grakle jumping bridles god only knows

lol), new boots(set of 4) in black for home and white for warming up at shows (everyone seems to wear white bandages or boots I don't want him to be the only one without any!) and 2 stressage numnahs, one black for home and one white for shows!
crazy.gif
I still got to get him a few other items... I am now wondering WHY I sold all my stressage stuff when I stopped competing!

I only bought a pair of sunglasses (it was very cold and overcast at home, bright sunshine there!) and OH bought me my boots - went for Brogini in the end as I wanted lace fronts and they are gooooooooorgeous, look made to measure

i bought Kevin Bacon hoof dressing, a new gillet (because i was so cold!) and some Aussie handcream!!

Rather restrained of me I think.....

New cooler, new white boots, new fly mash, new mail and tail comb (the round one), 2 pair of reins, 2 pair of pearl bing earing for dressage..................... and that was just me...........
all my mates when mad aswell

That is the main reason I wish we HAS gone, I had a shopping list as long as my arm!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone enjoyed their day!

very smart new barnsvy bridle
snaffle
white woof ware brushing boots
full set of XC boots
Wetherbeeta LW rug
and got given a stable name plate for radders!

That was the main reason I stayed away... knew I'd end up buying loads so safer to stay at home & spray the nettles!!

Too lazy to drive 2 1/2 hours!!!!!!!!!! In the plane it takes less than an hour - and never a traffic jam!! Plus we are going to Chatsworth next weekend!

I was like a kid at Christmas - my first one! Very disappointed that I couldnt spend the amount I wanted ... thought there would be lots of bargains, but most were shop prices. Did manage a few tops, a Sylvia Loch book and a few bits 'n bobs. Food stalls were fab, shopping village like i've never seen before, eyes on stalks. Only saw one dressage test, just arrived at arena in time to see Zara and Toytown. Got some great pics too.

Looked for Weezy at Pimms tent, then went to where all the pubs were - no sign (but didnt check the people who were lying in the grass

).

What really amazed me was the amount of 'country folk' in very expensive tartan green/tweed outfits and plums in their gobs (have been away from England too long me thinks). Took hours to get home ... think all the holiday traffic were heading M4 west to Tenby. Sat on loads of new saddles, but will make post about them as need advice

Had a great day shopping, spent far, far to much on my horse's (& myself) got a good bargain joules boots £4 bargain (was the end of the day)

The one by the Splash stand? We were right in front of Splash per usual, from about 1pm to about 4pm

Cant remember where Splash was, but there was only one Pimms tent. Where all the pubs were with the big screen was way up the other end and there were millions of people there
wink.gif
Did look for you though.

Ahhhhhhhh well it wasn't exactly a Pimms TENT, there are food stands and a Pimms booth and large seating area with some covered areas
laugh.gif
However, when you were looking for me I may well have been at the loo.......again

Couldn't go to Badders in the end as friends' baby was poorly. So treated myself to a trip to large tack shop and bought a load of Joules stuff - then watched 4hrs of Badminton on TV. Bliss!

Mum bought me and my sister a Badders Polo Shirt and Cap
smile.gif
I got two Oster grooming brushes, a face brush and a soft finish brush, which are so expensive and a bit of a luxury, but I've always wanted one! 8D

My mum wanted to buy a pair of crocs - I personally think they look hideous but everyone to their own I guess lol. (Ducks for cover before getting beaten up by Crocs lovers everywhere!)

I went a bit mad...

Bought a limited edition print from the Shades of Grey artist (a beautiful head drawing of an Arab) in one of the shopping tents, a lightweight waterproof jacket, piles of supplements from Hilton Herbs because nothing comes close to their stuff, some clog type Wrangler shoes, green half chaps (been looking for some for ages) from Just Chaps, overreach boots from Premier Equestrian, Cowboy Magic spray really cheap, a fab hoofpick from the stall that was selling all the wooden backed grooming kit and lots of junk food!

The one specific thing I really wanted though I couldn't get anywhere - I wanted a Myler Ported Comfort Snaffle and not one of the tack stands had any Mylers at all. Weird...
