So we bought tickets for Saturday, including disabled parking and booking for a disabled scooter. Three additional adult tickets.

Unfortunately the "disabled" person is unwell and won't be able to go.

So, what to do? Can the remaining people, who aren't disabled, still able to use the car parking ticket?

I don't see why not. Especially if you have the disabled ticket as proof of original booking and reasons for.

I’d check with the booking office. I know you can’t use a blue badge without the badge holder being present. Even if you can’t use the disabled parking area surely they would put you somewhere as you’ve already booked and paid.
It would be easier than possible refusal when you arrive.

Yes, I was thinking that it would be the best thing to do. Having just written it down, its the obvious answer.

All tickets for XC day are now purchased in advance, so they will have a space for you in the disabled car parking areas. I'd just turn up and use it tbh. The car parking stewards are so busy on XC day, I doubt they'll be validating every disabled parking ticket.

However I would definitely cancel the booking for the disabled scooter if you can, so that it can be reallocated.
