Badminton trot up fashion show

I personally don't get why the trot ups have turned into a questionable fashion show ! I couldn't think of anything worse that trotting my horse up in a pair of heels , keep them for the after party , after all its a horse show not a catwalk !

I think it's nice people dress up and it respects the fact it is a special occasion. It's not just any horse show after all . You wouldn't go to the races looking like a scruff bag.
All the effort gone to presenting the horses, only right the riders should make effort as well .

It's been like that for a while. They were trotting up in stilettos in 2008, the last time I went. I was a mix of being in awe at the fact anyone could WALK in those shoes and hitting my forehead at the sheer stupidity of it.

I agree that it's good for people to make an effort but it does seem to be getting a bit OTT

Personally I just wince at the idea of trying to control an exhuberant bouncy fit eventer wearing a pair of flimsy heels. Dressing up is nice, but I'd still want sensible shoes personally!
