Badminton Waitlist

So with just two weeks to go until the first horse inspection there are are still 16 horse/ rider combinations left on the wait list - I obviously don't wish sickness or injury to anyone already accepted but i'd love to see Ben Hobday (10 to go), Zara T (15 to go) and Kirsty Short (HH Blogger(16 to go) all get in.

Last year everyone on the wait list was accepted or withdrew, but there was only 27 starting on the wait list, this year there is 36!

What are your thoughts?
 
Worth checking the Lexington entries too as I suspect you will find double entries. I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that Zara is routing to Lexington.

Ben Hobday always very popular so I hope he gets a run, although the horse has barely run in last 12 months so no surprise he was low on waitlist
 
It does seem to have moved quite slowly this year. I think all the ones I was keeping an eye on are now either in or have withdrawn from the waitlist.

Must be so difficult getting the horse to peak fitness and doing all the preparation not knowing if you are going.

Zara is entered at Kentucky - I assume High Kingdom would have had to have flown out by now so I doubt she is waiting around to see if she got in at Badminton! Fingers crossed she has better luck there than 2 years ago.

I had thought about that but then wondered why she wouldn't have withdrawn from the badminton list if that was her plan?

But like you say it seems to be really slow this year!
 
High Kingdom's on the drawn order for Kentucky - quite common for double entries to be withdrawn late.
