Couldnt be bothered to dig up the old post, sorry!

Master Monarch has been withdrawn along with Karin Donckers and Linda Algotsson's rides. Andrew Hoy now only has the one ride, Moonfleet

Not sure about the others, could be anything I suppose. I'm getting very excited as it's so close now

It seems very unfair to those who have been balloted out now that there are tons of withdrawals.

Perhaps people are worried about the ground - weather doesn't look like much rain is in the offing.
 
I'm gutted that Linda isn't going. My Fair Lady is a lovely horse. Oh well, the list still looks good!

Think Andrew withdrew MM to reduce his chance of winning - maybe he isn't keen to try winning the Grand Slam again! No wonder he isn't riding at Lexington this week

There's always plenty of withdrawals, they deliberatly allow more competitors through the ballot than you'd want to start to allow for this.
I doubt anyone's withdrawing due to the ground at Badminton, though some might due to hard ground on the lead up preventing them from getting the one day runs
 
friends doing course walk at weekend, so i'll get ground condition report but very very much doubt, if anyone has or will withdrawals through that reason.
 
Am sorry to disapoint but everything was hunky dory when i saw team hoy few days ago but will do best to find out. Suspect, knowing the horse of old, that the hard ground has something to do with it though. Will find out as soon as i can though.
