So today was the day of the home visit - so I rush home to finish the housework and make the place look respectable for their visit.

The man turns up at about 6pm as arranged sits in the garden and fills in all the forms and says 'Its Labrador heaven here - we should be in touch really quicky with a dog for you'

- and didn't even come in the house - didn't need to to do the housework after all.....

When they did my parents the woman even looked under the sideboard even though my mum kept saying she wanted a BIG dog. You should have seen the poor woman's face when she found where Stanley cat had been hoarding her dead things

Glad it all went well. Was it GSD rescue you contacted cos I think their checking is quite long winded. For my area it would involved contacting me with details, then me contacting the person offering the home and making an appointment to see them, then getting over to see them and reporting back. Although I do tell people if they are okay in my view.
Hope the labrador folks find a suitable dog for you soon.
