Today the horses had the farrier.......who i guessed was on a super schedule, so I organised to have LO watched when they told me they were coming (I was off work) and so it turns out to be an hour before they thought it would be and I only get there 10 mins before they turn up.
Thank lord I decided to catch Devil pony first - who decided today was the day to just let me stick a head collar on him no probs. He even broke the twine when the other one got shocked and then let me catch him again - despite being stood n lush lawn grass. Even though the wrestled a bit the farrier had words and he settled and was a start.
But would the other 2 catch? No way no how!!
I had no way to get them all contained at once so can only catch one then the other etc. So they are without the farrier seeing to them and will have to wait 4 weeks till he comes again. Blooming animals. Especially as the horse needs his toes rolled as he has been tripping a bit. I cant just get the guy to pop out again as he only comes up once a month - and I cant get hold of another farrier.
