i have just bought a bag of lo-cal for my horse.
he is a 16.1hh TB who is carrying a good amount of weight. he is 560kg at the mo.
does anybody feed this nd at what amount?
it says sol would need 3 mug fulls a day.
and what do you use to measure it out?
is there a mug inside the bag or do you use a coffee mug?

thanks!

There isn't a cup in the bag. I always weigh my feed so I know exactly how much I am feeding. Bring your kitchen scales to the yard and use an old icecream tub or something like that.

I feed this to a 16hh warmblood and I give him the amount they advise for his bodyweight. Their advice line is very helpful.

If you ring them they will probably send you a free measuring mug and a money off voucher - they did me. I have just started George on it and he seems to love it, he is 16.3 and weighs 540kg and has 3 mugs a day (the contents of each mug should weigh 225g).

My mare has been on it for 2 yrs now and she's always been fab,i always get comments on her shiny coat. She has 2 cups a day as she's a 14.2! I'd always keep a native on it as they thrive on it.
