Hi,

does anyone use this feed? How do you find it?

I have a slightly tubby TB and i need to feed her something that isnt going to make her fat or excitable but will give her the nutrients she needs for good muscle and feet...

Looking it up at the moment and the main ingedients seem to be waste products?!

Also does anyone find their horses get excitable on it?

Thanks

I changed to Baileys No 14 from Blue Chip due to the ever rising price of Blue Chip. That was a few years ago now & my two horses thrive on it. They are well toned up & go really well on it. I've never had any issues over excitability with its use.

i use a balancer with my tb and he looks fab on it!! i use solid gold and alfa a. baileys lo cal sounds ideal for you!

I use lo cal for one of mine and really recommend it

I don't think it makes her fizzy. She has just lo cal, a handful of good doer chaff, and very restricted grazing.

It's great for over all condition, especially keeping her feet growing (I have her shod very often

I love it (and so does George!) he has 3 scoops of it per day and then some hi-fi with it. Hasn't made him fizzy at all, but since he went on it his coat is always shiny and after about 3mths the farrier asked what I was feeding as G's feet had improved.

All three of my very different horses are fed Lo-Cal Balancer and all do very well on it.

One is a 30 year old retired TB x Connemara, another is a 14.2 pony who is a very good doer, and the other is a 5 year old ISH who is also a good doer. I feed it everyday to make sure they are getting the correct amount of vitamins and minerals. It also gives them a really shiny coat!

Excellent thanks. She is looking a little porky on the grass so im not feeding her much at all, however despite looking slightly fat shes now started to drop off over her top line a bit and the farrier commented on how awful her feet were, they just arent growing!

Sounds like the low cal may do the trick
