I know that this is supposed to be non-heating but has anyone had any experience of it making their horse fizz up? I have been giving it to my 6 year old mare since beginning of November and it is doing great things for her coat but since about the same time she has started bucking and playing around much more than she ever used to. She has had me off twice recently so beginning to get a bit worried! Adding the outshine is the only thing that I can think has changed so was wondering if it could be that? Back, teeth etc all been checked.

No she has been pretty much getting the same amount of work and turnout. She was worked every day over Christmas which is more than usual but was still very lively and managed to put me on the floor yesterday (a good way of starting the new year off!) I started feeding outshine following advice from one of the Baileys reps as she could ideally do with gaining a bit more weight. This is the only thing that has changed so I was just wondering if it could be the cause but maybe its just the cold weather!!

Ive started feeding it to my mare, shes been on it about 2 weeks now and is rather lively.

BUT she has just had a month off work and is now starting walk work. I have to admit that I did wonder if it was the outshine that was sending her a bit loopy. Its not affecting my youngster though.

Never had a problem with it but I only feed one mug a day. Try taking her off it for a week and see if she gets better again, then you'll know for sure. I know of one Horse that goes mad on the No4 topline cubes which are also a non-heating feed.

my horse is a bit of a nutter anyway, let alone on any excitable feed but he's been fine on outshine - some days he has 4 mugs, most days 2 - depends on what work he's done. it definitely doesn't send him loopy.

I was just wondering... what else is your 6 year old getting in her hard feed and how much outshine is she getting per day?
