A friend feeds her 2yr old part bred welsh topline cubes, alfa a oil, speedi beet and dengie vits and minerals, but she cant feed her too much alfa a oil as she doesnt eat her feeds if they are too big. She was considering feeding bailys outshine too but we were wondering could this be fed with the vits and minerals or is it instead???

Sounds like she is feeding things unnecessarily. If the quantities of No4 are as stated by Baileys then vit&min not required. Also, feed sizes should be kept as small as possible anyway. Best thing to do would be to phone baileys helpline. They are very good and you speak to a nutritionist. The number is on their website.

sorry urnot allowed advertise on this site

[/ QUOTE ] Whilst I quite understand your sentiments and have expressed concerns myself about people doing undercover advertising on this site, I don't think it is the case on this post. The person in question is already feeding one Bailey's product and is thinking of adding another, so suggesting they contact Bailey's for advise is quite understandable!

PMSL - I think that might be allowed. You are allowed to help people and let people know things that might be of interest to them. If I saw a website that was really good and very interesting I can tell you about it but if it was my website and I am blatently advertising then that is wrong.

She would need to feed her vitamin and mineral supplement alongside the Outshine, as suggested contact Bailey's they are very helpful. Several horses I know who would not eat Alfa-A Oil happily eat Outshine and it does what it claims

ditto tabithakat64 - Outshine isnt a balancer nor a vit/mineral supplement - its mostly an oil supplement to add condition / for endurance so she would either need to feed it with a vit/min supplement or the correct amounts of topline cubes.

I feed it with TopSpec Comp Balancer, speedibeet and happyhoof. Small volume (my boy just wouldnt eat the amount recommended by most conditioning feeds) with most nonheating calories (needs weight on), balanced because of the TopSpec (therefore no additional vits supplement) and he likes it (doesnt like chunky chops or Alfafa) and it put on weight / doesnt fizz him up.
