Hi :)

Really sorry if this has been covered before but i need some help :(. I have been riding for over 10 years now and although my balance when I am out hacking and what not is good (able to sit big spooks and tantrums) my balance when jumping is horrible. I think one of my main problems is that I have had my confidence knocked so much from falling off (due to bad balance and naughty pony) that I have never been able to improve upon it. Its really getting to me, I want to be able to go round a course of jumps and not be falling off becasue of my rubbish balance (my poor body is bashed up enough as it is lol). I was wondering if anyone had any good exercises or anything that they know to help bad jumping balance.

(sorry for any spelling :o)

Thank You :D

What about having a lesson? That way the instructor can advise you as and when. Have you thought about changing the length of your stirrups to see if this helps in the meantime?

I would do a lot of pole work and riding without stirrups :)
