After having read through several threads trying to figure what would be good for my boy this winter I am now completely lost!
Are balancers good, bad or a waste of time and money?
What do I need in his supplement?
Should he have hard food at all?!

Said horse is 16.3hh ex racer, always on the lean side! Currently on cattle pasture since moving 2 weeks ago, Alfa a oil and codlivine supplement - he's unbelievably chilled out but I don't think this diet will keep any weight on him through the winter.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!:D

All mine, from birth onwards, seem to manage with no other supplement than Red Rockies to correct a known mineral deficiency in the soil.

Balancers, supplements, and mixes are required so the manufacturers can afford summer holidays in the Caribbean and big expensive cars.:)
