My poor ginger lad is suffering with bald shoulder & wither syndrome!!

I have to be very selective about a bib as if tight fitting he will try to remove it - he hates the stretchy lycra ones with a vengeance! And nothing padded as he will sweat...!!

Please recommend those you have found to work, and at a reasonable price if at all possible!! i think this will have to be one of those exciting xmas presents my dearest mother will give me the money to buy myself!

Perfect..quick delivery too! Will nip to mothers this eve & borrow the credit card!!
Thanks..found the old one I used to use Polly something or other. Lookspretty similar to Bossy ones.

Bossy bibs are fab, I also like the heavier quilted Weatherbeeta bib, which is cotton with a satin lining - extra warmth round the shoulders too, and seems to work better on our most sensitive mare.

This is a question that always annoys the hell out of me. Any rubbing on your horse is caused by a badly fitting rug so no bib will prevent it happening. Buy a rug that fits properly with a nylon lining as these will never rub your horse as long as the rug fits. It is literally as simple as that.

Sorry thats not the case! my horses rugs fit very well, but he has very a very sensitive coat, which means even my legs on him (no spurs or anything!) rub bald patches on him, as do his reins on his neck when he is ridden! Bossy's bibs have stopped him getting bald shoulders, just wish they would make something to stop the other rubs he gets!!

Thanks but my horses rugs are well fitting & good quality. It is just unfortunate he has big shoulders, big withers & is clipped so needs more than one rug. He is a sensitive TB who balds easily. And more to the point..sadly I am not made of money & cannot afford to entirely re wardrobe said horse when I know a bib will do the trick.

Thanks for everyones suggestions - bossy bib now ordered & hopefully on its way!!

Make them.

Mine are sporting home made bibs, hoods, girth sleeves, saddle cloths etc. It means I can have the most lurid colours I like, or silly patterns etc. Love it!

I have attempted this before..friend suggested using old underskirts..as I didn't have any I robbed some from my nan..unfortunatley gord's dimensions were a little large in comparison to petite nan's waist!! I did stitch 2 together but it fell apart pretty rapidly!! Much easier to buy one...!!
