has anyone else been balloted loads this season? i have already been balloted out of eland, and stafford, despite putting stickers on both and sending them in well before ballot date...i've entered bradwall, and got balloted last year too so put last years entry form (which they stamped balloted out on, but i used ballot sticker for eland) in with this years...this is so frustrating - i just want to get out there!

has anyone else had this problem?xx

No, got in Oasby,Sapey and Milton Keynes hoping for Broadway regional and Prestwold regional
Sorry you didn't get in,I don't know how they do it.I thought if you were ballotted you could use a special sticker but maybe that was a few years back.

I know a few people who were balloted from eland, it is notoriously difficult to get into! The ballot numbers from last year, is the reason I didnt enter myself!

Oh no that is bad luck, balloting is so frustrating sometimes.
It does depend on what class you enter, intro's are so popular and therefore more likely to be balloted. PNs close to aswell!

Perhaps offer your help at the event the day before or day after you're due to run, almost guranteed a place in a section then plus they'll be very grateful!!

Stafford balloted?? Thats unusual especially as you put a ballot sticker on. Bradwall is always heavily over subscribed, they've had to put on an extra day this year so they dont have to ballot so may people. You get to know which events are popular so you know which ones to use your stickers on e.g. for Bradwall I use my super ballot. I think you just also been unlucky!!
Another was to get in is to volunteer on the day that you're not competiting as you are almost always guranteed an entry.

yes stafford balloted around 200...i think this year lots decided to enter stafford because sapey normally cancels for the wet weather (has done for the last 2 years - wont be this year!!)turns out stafford was totally over subscribed and sapeys barely full!

Sapey balloted as well [153 ballotted] and has moved most pre novice to18th which has been difficult as already booked 17th as holiday and work not happy.
I think there should be a better system if people who put ballot stickers on don't get in.I thought you got your sticker back but obviously not!

no...which is frustrating...i used my april 07 one for eland, got balloted, then couldnt put a sticker on for bradwall - oh this eventing malarky!!

well asked to be waitlisted - have entered bradwall on 28th, broadway on the 6th, rodbaston on the 9th,(poor horse!) somerford on the 20th and cleobury mortimer on the 27th...so yes lots booked but i might still get balloted! got to make up for lost time - trying to JRN this season!argh! do you event? you near shropshire in the west mids?x

Not really no. I didn't think Stafford had balloted, but they must have done. We were at Eland today but used our super-ballot sticker. We also volunteer loads at events all around the area and your name soon gets recognised. Organisers are quite open about the fact that if you are willing to give your time up once in a while then they will often guarantee you an entry. I'm sure that one event recently (one of the on'es you've mentioned) quite clearly stated in the schedule that if you volunteer your entry will be guaranteed. Now I know you pay a lot of BE in terms of affiliation and entries, but we have found this really works and we have fab days helping at these events - loads of fun, we've gotten to know loads of people, have quite a few nice perks and above all we get into most events. On the plus side, I don't think Bradwall have balloted as they are running some PN sections on the Friday which we have agreed to do so that they can get everybody in.

You do get your entry form back which is then classed as a super-ballot. You just attach the entry form that has been balloted to the entry of the event you are entering for.
