Bandages, cut a bit off!

A bit of help required before I use the scissors! Rose has very fine legs and her lovely new matchy matchy bandages seem to be just a bit too long. if I get the velcro bits nicely lined up, I have just over an inch of velcro with nothing to stick to. It looks untidy so I'm tempted to chop a bit off. I don't think it's got anything to do with how I am putting them on. Please don't tell me to use boots, that's not the question. Am I missing something?

I have often chopped a bit off, it annoys me to have a flappy bit of velcro sticking out, I just cut at an angle to stop it running.

It sounds like the manufacturer has made the end velcro piece long to accommodate legs of any width. I would put them on comfortably then trim, no worries.
