Is there any harm putting fetlock boots on the front but then polo bandages on the back with fetlock boots and posibly tape if i need it? just to provide that extra bit of support and protection? what you think? cant afford any more expensive boots for out hunting because they just get broken and thought this would be an idea to consider?

Depends on the type of ground your going to cover and how much jumping your going to do.

The biggest problem is that the bandages/boots could become covered in mud and water logged so acting like a lead weight, If I use boots they will be somthing cheap that won't hold water.

There's no problem booting over polo wraps (infact most SJing yards do this at home)but for hunting they'll probably get wet/muddy and either come loose or rub

thats the only thing i was concerned about is the constant dampness against their skin . But i cant get any 'cheap' good boots the stitching all comes out and they rip or break in a short space of time. Could you recommend a type of boot thats cheap??

have a look at the premier equine website, they have fab boots for low prices, the eventing boots are very good
i hack out sometimes in bandages, on dartmoor, and to be honest after an hour they are soggy and starting to slip, i would have thought after a days hunting they have slipped down alot. i wouldnt hunt in bandages.
have a look the the PE boots
