I've recently taken to using exercise bandages for schooling as I believe it gives my horse more flexibility rather than ridgid boots - does anyone put a pad under the bandages or just bandages??

ive got eskadron climatex bandages - you get a built in lining bit which then evolves into an elastic bandage!! its quite hard to explain but they are fab, altho quite expensive at £30 a pair!

Lidl do a very similar bandage, starts of fleece then changes to an elsatic bandage. Not so expensive at around a tenner!! At that price you can afford a few different sets..

I use a combination of fleece polo bandages and exercise wraps depending on my mood!

I would NEVER reccomend anyone use proper exercise bandages without any padding underneath

I use polo wraps (fleece bandages) because Governor's legs tend to fill. I only really use them if we're doing lateral work or if we're playing around with extension/medium strides etc.

I find his legs stay cool, his tendons stay tight and no surface gets into bandages - but it's taken alot of practice to get the pressure even etc.

I still use boots on the front for jumping.
