Bandaging horses legs for work...

How do you feel about bandaging hairy legs with feathers with elasticated bandages for work?

Do you do it? Would you do it? Or do you think the leg will get too hot?

I believe that the latest research is that horses are best with nothing on their legs as the tendon is weaker when hot.
However if you do wish to bandage with elsaticated bandages fibergee needs to be used.

How feathered are the legs? My dalesXShire is so hairy that she literally got strike into herself as the feather provides morer than enough protection.
I do occasionally bandage myTBxWB using fleece banadages as he does sometimes strike into himself.
