just wondering what people would do if your horse had lymphangitis, got over it but has to be stabled at night regardless.
would you bandage or not??

my horse got lymphangitis twice and was VERY ill with it, vet told me to bandage his legs to prevent them from filling and becoming lymphangitis, i've done that and he's been fine (frantically touching wood!) for nearly 2yrs. other people say you shouldn't bandage.

thoughts. :D

i never used to bandage my horse, he wasn't bandaged before i bought him and got on just fine so i didn't change anything however he got lymphangitis 2.5yrs ago in one hind leg and then he got it again in the other hind leg about 8months after that so he's been bandaged ever since. my feelings/opinions and also my vets advice.
