Bank End's First Foal!

Well I got a big surprise this morning when I went t the yard! Anastaise, one of our rescues who came to us in foal last year has produced a beautiful bay filly foal during the night. She hadn't waxed up until 8pm last night so I wasn't expecting to find her this morning, both mum and baby are doing well. Pics will be posted later

yes just a bit!! We knew she couldn't be far off and I guessed it would be in the next few days but as I said I was there at 8 last night and she hadn't waxed up so I didn't expect to find the little cutie there this morning!

Baby is running poor mum ragged lol....was charging around the field this morning with mum chasing her....she'll be keeping her on her toes I think, little bugger

Gorgeous foal but I agree with FWF about the fencing - it doesn't look safe to have a foal in as they have a habit of finding any way they can of injuring themselves.

The fencing IS in bad repair but we have only just moved onto the new premises a week ago. Our landlord is not known for keeping his fences in good condition! It's slow progress but we are getting there, we simply couldn't afford to be paying rent on 2 yards at a cost of £200 per week
