'bank holiday lameness'

Why oh why oh why!? My homebred filly has only ever been sick or sorry twice BOTH on bank holidays!! So i went to feed them in the field this morning and there she was right on que.. absolutly hopping lame! Im hoping as it came on so quckly and there are no obvious reasons that it is just gravel.
Is it wrong of me to want the grab her and shake some blooming sence into her!? eshhh who'd have horses hey?

My pony has bank holiday lameness, too. Not that she went lame today but she is still lame.

The TB that daughters pony is companion to has been lame all summer holidays with abscesses. Naturally his owner works in a school. He's just come sound, she starts back at work on Tuesday.
