Barcelona (& Tavernoles area) - things to do?

We're flying to Barcelona next month and staying North in the Tavernoles area. My BIL booked it as he wanted a villa in the mountains... great but now I'm looking I cant find anything to do in the area and we have 4 young kids to entertain... If anyone has been / lives here, please could you offer some suggestions? Even if its just things like good rivers to swim in etc.? No riding as Im pregnant

If you have a car there's Water World in Loret de Mar, about an hour from where you will be. Plenty of slides for the kids and a wave pool and sunbathing terrace for you
