Bareback Pads, anyone use/used one?

Bought one, never used it, sold it on e-bay for not too much of a loss...............

Either ride in a saddle or ride bareback.

No they're no good for breaking in a growing youngster unless you are going to ride it bareback.

I used one in america, it was well fun as it made bareback much more comfortable!

No would never use it for breaking in a youngster as I only used it on a broad backed, experienced 11yo.........

Even though it was more comfortable (and had stirrups) was much less secure than with a saddle

i have one, use it on my youngster dont have any problems. it dosent have stirrups its the best friends bareback pad, though i dont do very much with her. also use it on my other mare it great fun and taken 25 years of me!

The only time I concussed myself was when I was using one of these! The horse spooked and went sideways and the bareback pad didn't! (I dented my hat and had to throw it away). The bareback pad is now gathering dust in the tack room.

Thanks for your input guys...lots to to think about.
