Bareback pads?

Do any of you ride in a bareback pad? I'm thinking of getting one to save me getting a dirty bum each time I ride him. Any experiences please?

I ride one of the ponies in a Best Friend one. It's cool, has a grippy underside and faux suede upper-best not to use it with sticky bummed breeches a friend has a christ lammfelle one and it does look comfy.

I ride in a cashell soft saddle {a posh barebackpad} it is quite expensive BUT I LOVE IT i do endurance /show jumping /crosscountry in it.

Are they meant to be like a saddle to use everyday? \otherwise it defeats the point of bareback!

Just use a numnah and surcingle, much cheaper and it will stop you getting dirty, it comes in useful if you have a wet pony too.

Do NOT use stirrups if you get a pad with them on. They create nasty pressure points (mine would be across the withers).
Although I love mine. It has a little handle for Indy's little spins. Bought it in Canada so I can't really help with UK availability, sorry.
