Well, that is the plan anyhow
I have been thinking on what I want to do in the long term with T'Khasi, and have concluded that I want to train him in Western style riding. Therefore, he will be starting out in a sidepull anyhow. From there he would progress to a snaffle, and then on to a curb. But, depending on how he goes, I may just keep him bitless. I have light hands either way, and I am aware that bitless bridles are just as capable of inflicting pain if misused as any bit. So I do not have any illusions about that.
Barefoot is pretty much a given. Purely a personal preference on my part.
As to bareback, it is something I have never tried before. So I have three or four years to pick it up...failing that, I will be using a Western saddle. I prefer them to English.
Of course, all this would rather preclude my taking part in dressage, but we could still pootle about the school for fun
I suspect T'Khasi may be more interested in jumping - he was involved in a great escape the weekend before I bought him. There was a drop and a river involved, as well as a small wall
Words have been had about this and he assures me that it was all the other pony's idea

Just musing really. By the time he is ready to start under saddle, anything could have happened! Heck, I may even have offspring - in which case there will of course be Pony Club type stuff to prepare for - or I might develop a love for cross-country (unlikely)...
