I'm looking to buy a pair of boots for my AA. Does anyone out there use Cavallo simple boots and if so is it necessary to use the pastern wraps? he has very round feet 140mm x 140mm and none of the Easycare boot range will fit, so looking for recommendations for this foot shape. Also has anyone with a barefoot horse found it necessary to boot the backs? I'm concerned that he will overload his forehand if only front feet are comfy?
Cheers Pym (very new to barefoot and booting)

I have a big hunter barefoot, our size was limited as she has big feet but found the Old Mac G2s in her size. They are extremely secure (unlike Boa's that a friend had and was forever gettinmg on and off to fasten them again properly).

My horse is heavy on the forehand anyway but the boots havent made any difference to her, she only wears fronts for hacking altho due to having a 'gravel track' cut out she is currently wearing for schooling too as she is more sensitive.

It willdepend on how your horse is in his hinds but my mare isnt sensitive on them at all only on the fronts onrough surfaces. I reallty like the Old Macs would def recommend them. Cant comment on the Cavallo's as not big enough for my mare sorry.

My mares hooves are roughly the same size and we use the cavallo boots with no problems on the fronts, we have used the backs briefly but she doesnt need them anymore. I dont use the pastern wraps.. the boots have never moved or rubbed so havent bothered with them. I am however saving up for a pair of renegade boots

They are more expensive but look a bit slimmer than the cavallos which i find can be a bit clumpy.
